Red Cross Staff

The American Red Cross is the nation's foremost volunteer organization,
offering a wide range of services.

Below represents only a sampling of services various Red Cross chapters
provide in their communities.

Disaster Services

The American Red Cross Disaster Services mission is to ensure nationwide disaster planning, preparedness, community disaster education, mitigation, and response that will provide the American people with quality services in a uniform, consistent, and responsive manner.  The American Red Cross responds to disasters such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, and fires, or other situations that cause human suffering or create human needs that those affected people cannot alleviate without assistance.  Every Red Cross chapter works continuously to be ready to respond by coordinating and collaborating with its disaster partners.

Health & Safety

Based in communities across our jurisdiction, Red Cross instructors each year certify an average of 7 million people in Red Cross health and safety courses, which include Red Cross CPR, first aid, lifeguard training and swimming. These courses in turn help make our communities healthier and safer places live. Red Cross chapters provide instructors at the workplace to teach these courses and others such as back injury prevention, stress management, and work place violence. Full service contracts are available. These all inclusive packages cater to the clients needs and course specifications. Health and safety courses are open to the public.

International Services

Through Red Cross national headquarters, each chapter is linked to the International Red Cross Movement, which is dedicated to protecting human life worldwide. As a result, local chapters are able to offer a number of unique international services such as tracing services for people separated from their relatives because of war, civil disturbances, or natural disasters.

Authorized Sales Representative for AED-S

Coronary heart disease accounts for about 460,000 deaths annually, and the American Heart Association estimates that more then 95% of cardiac arrest victims die before reaching the hospital. With every minute that passes, a victim's chances of survival decrease 7-10%. Few resuscitation attempts succeed after 10 minutes. However early defibrillation (delivered within a few minutes) can restore a normal heartbeat and reverse cardiac arrest in most victims.
